White Cane Safety Awareness Walk

White Cane Safety Day is observed annually on October 15 to recognize the many achievements of blind and visually impaired citizens and the white cane as a tool promoting independent mobility.

Today, the white cane isn’t just a tool used by persons with loss of visual acuity. It is a symbol for members of our community who are blind or visually impaired.

Thank you to each and everyone who've participated in our awareness walk today! This small glimpse in the world of a visually impaired and deafblind person opened a lot of minds!
